Total Computer Networks Ltd (Total) today announced results for the financial year ended 31 December 2017. Revenue for the 12 months’ period ended 31 December 2017 increased 25.7% to £65.5m (2016: £52.1m), to provide a fourteenth consecutive year of growth. Operating profit grew 45% to £1.77m (2016: £1.22m).
“We had a very good year in 2017 and once again outperformed the market – over the past five years turnover has more than tripled, from £20.3m in 2012,” comments Aidan Groom, Managing Director of Total. He continues “Over this 5 year period we’ve made significant changes to the structure of the business to maintain our relevance in the market”.
“We attribute much of our growth to ensuring we’re offering customers the solutions and services that can help them transform their businesses,” adds Aidan Groom. “We’re a company that’s extremely conscious of the changing face of IT: many organisations are moving from a ‘buy and build’ approach to ‘as-a-service’ consumption, and at the same time technology is becoming ever more pervasive, extending the IT department’s reach into area’s previously outside its remit. We are constantly realigning the products, solutions and services we offer to meet the requirements of this changing market. Possessing the necessary skills to assist our customers with these challenges is a critical component of our ongoing success.”
“Looking ahead we’ve started 2018 strongly with first quarter sales well up on last year,” notes Aidan Groom. “We have invested further in the business and feel that we have the right mix to continue to grow and to successfully meet the needs of an evolving market.”
