Total today announced the appointment of Simon Ashall to the new role of Head of Vendor Management. Simon joins Total from Kelway, where he led one of the vendor teams.
“We’ve grown significantly over the past four years and as a result we are now an important partner to several major vendors and, as our growth continues, a key development partner for many more,” explains Aidan Groom, Joint Managing Director at Total. He continues, “We need to have a more proactive and mature approach to managing and developing relationships with our principal partners than has hitherto been possible, and Simon has the knowledge and experience to do that.”
Simon will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key vendors, identifying emerging vendors and ensuring that Total holds the right levels of accreditations with its partners.
Prior to joining Total Simon held senior vendor management positions at Kelway and ISC Networks (prior to its acquisition by Kelway) and commercial roles in distribution at CCD (now Ingram Micro) and ETC (now part of Azlan). While at Kelway and ISC, Simon helped the businesses to achieve and retain highest level partner status with Apple, Citrix, Lenovo, NetApp and VMware amongst others.
