Total one of ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ for third time

Total has, for the third year running, been recognised for its success in a prestigious report from the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). The 2017 ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ was formally launched at the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and a 10 Downing Street reception last week.

Now in its fourth year, this annual report identifies the UK’s most exciting and dynamic small and medium sized enterprises and Total is again named amongst them. “Our selection criteria also require these firms to have out-performed their sector peers,” explains Xavier Rolet, CEO of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).

The 2017 report was formally launched on 10 May 2017 with a ‘Market Open’ Ceremony at the LSE and a reception at 10 Downing Street hosted by the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. Commenting, the Right Honourable Greg Clark, Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, said “I want to congratulate the 1000 companies from across the UK featured in London Stock Exchange Group’s pioneering 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain report.”

“Four years on, LSEG’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ report continues to highlight the dynamic, entrepreneurial and ambitious businesses across the country that are boosting UK productivity, driving economic growth and creating jobs,” explains Xavier Rolet, CEO, LSEG.

“Like many of the thousand companies we can look back on humble beginnings,” comments Aidan Groom, Managing Director at Total. “Inclusion in this report, and amongst an even more select group invited to its LSE and 10 Downing Street launch, shows just how highly thought of Total now is.”
