Administering System Center 2012 Configuration Manager

This course provides the knowledge and skills to configure and manage client devices and servers using Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager and its associated site systems. It focuses on day-to-day management tasks, including managing software deployments, updates, client health, hardware and software inventory, compliance, endpoint protection, application management, mobile device management, querying and reporting.

This course is aimed at experienced system administrators wishing to develop the specialist knowledge to configure and manage client devices and servers with Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager.

Prerequisites

Delegates for this course should have system admin level knowledge of:

  • installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows PCs
  • Windows client management (including a basic understanding of endpoint security)
  • networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and Domain Name System (DNS)
  • Active Directory and Group Policy principles and management
  • the basics of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) security
  • basic understanding of Windows Server roles and services and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (desirable, rather than essential).
