MCSA: Windows Server 2012 Fast Track Part 1

This course represents the first half of a 10-day Fast Track programme designed to build the knowledge and practical skills required for to successfully pass the MCSA: Windows Server 2012 certification exams.

It covers the same ground as Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012 (course code M20410) and Administering Windows Server 2012 (M20411).

The programme utilises Microsoft Learning recommended content and includes: Ask the Expert support by mentors, Access to the online Microsoft Press Reference Library, recorded ‘Power-hours’ for each exam, on-line review sessions, 6 months post course on demand 24x7 remote labs access and practice exams. The fee includes all the exam vouchers required for certification along with one free retake voucher per exam, should it be required. 

Who's it for?

This course is aimed at experienced (ie at least two years’ hands-on experience of implementing and administering network and desktop OS) systems engineers, network engineers, systems analysts, network analysts and technical consultants seeking an accelerated route to MCSA: Windows Server 2012 certification. 

Key objectives

After attending this course a delegate should be able to:

  • administer a Windows Server 2012 infrastructure in an enterprise environment
  • Implement and configure Windows Server 2012 core services, such as Active Directory and the networking services
  • maintain a Windows Server 2012 infrastructure, managing user and group management, network access and data security
  • undertake server installation, server virtualisation, manage storage and configure remote access
  • understand the key topics and concepts addressed on the MCSA: Windows Server 2012 exams. 


Delegates should have:

  • 2 years’ hands-on experience of a Windows Server 2008/2012 environment
  • hands-on experience of Windows 7/8 (recommended but not essential).
