Cloud Readiness

Set your Cloud Migration up to success

What is Cloud Readiness?

Cloud Readiness refers to the level of preparedness or suitability of an organisation's infrastructure, applications and processes for migration or adoption of cloud computing technologies. It involves assessing an organisation's existing IT environment and determining its readiness to transition to the cloud. In the modern age, Cloud-based technology has revolutionised operations processes within businesses and has become crucial to the composition of modern IT infrastructure.

As businesses continue to embrace Cloud technology, Cloud Readiness ensures the path to a smooth and successful migration by assessing an organisation's capacity to move to the cloud. A Cloud Readiness Assessment helps determine the most sufficient model based on needs, budget, security, compliance and business objectives.

Taking Care of Technology

There's a greater demand than ever for businesses to utilise technology and we are here to make that process simple.

For IT decision makers, 64% said that modernisation was their top goal over the coming year. Not only did cloud platforms power these efforts, but so did cloud-native technology like Kubernetes. Today, nearly three-quarters of UK enterprise infrastructure users are adopting containers via platforms as a service, either on-premises or in the cloud.

What is Included in the Cloud Assessment Package?

Total Computers' Cloud Assessment engagement maps your current IT landscape to a Cloud strategy. Our Cloud solution Architects engage with you to understand your business and technical requirements and maps these to a Cloud plan, to identify where applications can be replatformed, rehosted, retired or replaced.

You will benefit from our expertise and toolsets to discover all assets within your environment, that dependency is between applications, define a target platform and assist with accurately forecasting your cloud spend. This includes an evaluation of your current technologies and how you can reduce operational overhead by leveraging the services available within your Office365 or Microsoft365 licencing agreement.

Our Timeline

Total uses the Azure Infrastructure Assessment, which is led by the Microsoft Solution Assessment Team and the customer's account team. Through the process, we work with Microsoft to define the scope of the engagement, review requirements, align stakeholders and finalise project timelines.

Insights, analysis and recommendations include:
- Executive summary of data-driven findings;
- Alignment to business objectives;
- Defined project scope;
- Identification and prioritisation of candidates to move to Azure;
- Optional: comprehensive 5-year TCO comparison between a future Azure estate and your on-premise environment (subject to availability).

Data Collection

Once you've spoken to us, we will perform a data collection assessment, which will take place over a period of one to four weeks.

Follow-Up Data Analysis

After a period of data collection, the next stage will involve a level of data analysis intended to capture the customer's entire DC environment.

Group Objective Consultation

This stage will involve a consultation with key members of the customer's team, with the function of determining key goals and objectives.

Customer Presentation

As a closing stage, this will be delivered with the intention of summarising the client proposal and all related components for delivery.
